The Traditional English Breakfast
Cereals and Fruit Juice
Porridge made in the traditional manner - the oats are steeped in water overnight then cooked slowly in a porringer with milk or water as you choose. It is then up to you what you add - honey, jam, sugar (sorry we don't have the whiskey - or do we?)
English Back Bacon
Lincoln Sausages - cooked slowly
(Linda McCartney Vegetarian sausages are also available)
Large field mushroom
Choice of poached, fried or scrambled eggs
All washed down with tea or coffee.
Our bread is freshly home made and the jams and marmalades are all home made - only the honey is bought in.
Now if you don't fancy a full English then how about cheese.Yes, I said cheese.
Judy has created a platter of eight or more local cheeses for you to try. These change from time to time but with toast and homemade jams they are delicious.
Do you know there are over 700 different cheeses in the UK.
The price you pay for this platter is that you have to listen to Judy's talk about the origins of the selection. A small price I assure you and very interesting.
